About L-Space Web

L-Space Now!

Text linking

If you feel the L-Space Web is a useful place for Pratchett fans to visit, than you might consider including a link back to us on your own web site.

The official and preferred names for the site are 'The L-Space Web' or 'L-Space', and the URL you should use in your code is: <http://www.lspace.org/>

Please note that you should try to avoid using the hostname of one of our mirror sites, such as www.ie.lspace.org or www.nl.lspace.org.

We would also really appreciate it if you did not forget the trailing '/' after the 'org' in the URL.

Thanks!

Button linking

L-Space has its very own graphics available for people to use as part of a link. In accordance with the long tradition of such things having the word "NOW!" in them somewhere, these graphics include the the "L-Space NOW!" buttons.

Two points:

  1. If you want to use one of these graphics, please copy it onto your own server rather than just pointing at ours. Our web servers are busy enough as it is.
  2. Please only use these icons to link to <http://www.lspace.org/>. Suitable HTML for doing this is as follows:
If you're using HTML4 or earlier
    <a href="http://www.lspace.org/"><img src="lspace-now.gif" height="[height of your chosen graphic]" width="[width of your chosen graphic]" alt="L-Space Now!"></a>
    If you're using XHTML
    <a href="http://www.lspace.org/"><img src="lspace-now.gif" height="[height of your chosen graphic]" width="[width of your chosen graphic]" alt="L-Space Now!" /></a>

The Original L-Space NOW! Button
L-Space Now! - Original
Created by Mike Knell
This bears certain superficial resemblances to an icon that was frequently used to link to a certain software company who were responsible for a certain web browser, but the material that "L-Space NOW!" links to is infinitely more interesting.

The Alternate L-Space NOW! Button
L-Space Now! - Alternate
Creator Unknown
This button surfaced on a Spanish-language Discworld site. The maintainer of that site did not create the button himself, but could no longer recall where he, in turn, found it. So this is 'author unknown', but, as it's an L-Space button, we doubt that said author will mind if we include it here.

If text is too plain, and the 'L-Space Now!' buttons are too outdated or small for your tastes, then there's also this small banner.
