As I may have mentioned earlier, I will be hitting *mumble* this
Wednesday, and I wish to drown my sorrows over this tragic occasion.

In order to do this, I am arbitarily declaring an AFP meet to be held in
London on Saturday the 5th of October.

Precise time and location are still a trifle quantum, but will be fixed
as soon as I can remember which pub it was we ended up in, after the ID4
meet.

I also fancy having a go at one of those 'shoot the alien' thingies, at
the Trocadero, so there might be a meet-up there, before hand

I know things are a trifle vague, but I will try to finalise the details
on Sunday.

Simon

Having sorted things out a bit, I can now reveal the full details of the
AFP meet to be held in London, this Saturday, in an attempt to console
me for reaching the old age of *mumble*.

Following a recomendation made by the Fair Colette, the meet will be
held at the Prince of Wales pub in Covent Garden. I've never been there,
but Alan and Colette say that it has a suitable selection of alcoholic
beverages for those of you into that sort of thing.

I should be arriving at the pub at approximately 7.30pm, but if any of
you boozy sods prefer to turn up early, I'm not bothered.

Hopefully, the following (very) crude ASCII map should enable you to
find the place.

- ----------------------------------------------------------
Long Acre
- -------------- --------------- ----------------\ W\
           * |  |             |B |             *  \ i\
 Covent Gdn | | |o | Prince of\ l\
 Tube | | |w | Wales \ d\
             | | |S | \ S\
             | | |t | \ t\

I hope this is enough of a clue, but I am working off vague memories of
what Colette said, and a very small map. If I find there are any
problems, I will try a re-post.

There is also a very good chance that I will be having a go at the shoot
the alien thing in the Virtual Worlds bit of the Trocadero for a while
before hand, if any one wants to try that.

Simon
