After the *vom* inducing success of afpcouples in recent times, it has
been suggested that now would be a good time to start planning afpmeets
that the whole family can enjoy - after all with all the in-tents fun
we're having the numbers of afp-offspring are bound to increase sooner
or later.
So, I hereby announce the first afp-family day (open to all afper's cos
even if they're a family of 1 they're family in the mafpia sense)
The outing is to Chessington World Of Adventures, which is 12 miles from
London on the A243. The date is Sunday Sept 21st. Usual cost is 18ukp
for adults 14ukp for children, although if there are fifteen of us the
cost goes down to 12.75 for adults and 10.75 for children (with an
additional 50p each discount if we pay up two weeks in advance) children
less than 1metre tall are admitted free. Chessington will be open from
10am until 5.15pm on the day of the afp-outing.
For those of you who don't know these things, Chessington was until
recently a zoo, it still has a selection of animals including meerkats,
lions, tigers, penguins, gorillas and many others. It also has a
human circus twice a day and a large selection of rides ranging from the
genteel mono-rail giving a birds-eye view of the animal enclosures, to
the terrifying Rameses Revenge - giving a birds eye view of whatever you
had for lunch in many cases....
If you are interested in attending please email carol@lspace.org with
details of what tickets you will require. If enough interest is shown I
will get back to you before the end of August with details of where to
send your dosh so I can get the reduced rate for all of us, if not I'll
just confirm that we're going and suggest where to meet up and we can
all pay on arrival which is much less hassle.

Yes folks - it's almost here, the first ever afpfamily day out!!
We have enough interested people to get a discounted rate at
Chessington World of Adventures so the trip is on. The cost will be
12.75 ukp for adults, 10.75 for children - although anyone under 1
metre tall gets in for free.
We will aim to meet up between 9.30 and 9.45 near the main entrance to
the theme park and then have a fun and groovy time trying out the
rides, pulling faces at the animals and generally making complete
fools of ourselves.
