Just a quick report on the signing meet at Lancaster as I'm probably the
first one to get to a PC.

Attendees :-

Your humble narrator.
Your humble narrators mum and dad ( now honorary afpers! )
ppint
Andrea
Roy ( without Kaiser :-( )
Ratty
Rhys
Mist
Isuldur
hippo
Carrie Cota ( via phone )

Events :-

I arrived at the shop at about 9am and took pint to the station to meet
Andrea, Roy and hippo. We got back to the shop at about 10am and
starting getting ready for the signing. At this point my parents turned
up and got stuck in as well.

Terry arrived about 11.30 and started signing not long after.

It was around this time that I got trapped on the inside of the counter
space and spent my time sorting out the stacks of books by Terry.

During the signing mum got her first Pterry book, looks like another
convert! :-)

Carrie phoned twice while Terry was signing, the second call was made at
some really early hour USA time.

Terry finally went at about 2pm and somebody let me out!

The meet proper then started with a mass migration to a local vegetarian
cafe for hot food and drinks. Also at this point the rest of the
attendees arrived after driving up from various places. YHN, was given
the task of giving then directions from the shop and then waiting there
to take to the cafe.

After a short return to the shop, a pub was adjourned to before going on
to a restaurant ( where Carrie phoned again ) and another pub.

The meet finished at around 11pm.

Afperish things did happen, including the appearance of a stuffed hippo
and penguin, geeking of multi-tools and of mobile phones.

Unfortunately a quote file was not kept. IMHO this was a good thing as
at one point I became Andrea's official ankle-warmer, and I was _very_
glad the comments made by others were not recorded! :-))

Mart - who probably need practice at this reporting thing!
