Bath Harry Potter Meet
6pm November 17 2001
Hobgoblin, Bath
http://www.hobgoblins.co.uk/bath.htm
http://www.theinnkeeper.co.uk/avon/24395.html
ABC Cinema - Bath
http://www.abccinemas.co.uk/pages/bath.phtml

Upon the event of a film which many of AFP want to see, it is traditional
to have Film Meets. We did it for Toy Story, we did it for Galaxy Quest,
and now we do it for Harry Potter. This one for people in the area of
Bath.

I currently have *Provisional* times from the ABC cinema that Harry
Potter will be shown at 7pm on Sat 17th. This may change, so I advise
everyone who is attending to please e-mail me at barberio@cus.org.uk so I
can get in contact directly to inform you of any changes. (I'll also pass
on my mobile number, and *may* be able to match up people who want to
offer crash space)

Initially we will be meeting up at 6pm at the Hobgoblin pub, to ensure
that are all together. (I'll be at the Train Station from 5:45 till to
catch people) Then we will go onto the Cinema at a quarter to so we can
get seats.

The Film is going to be Popular, Advance Booking is advised.

After the film (Run time aprox 2:30.) we'll return to the Hobgoblin.
(I may threaten to bring 'Devil Bunny Wants a Ham' and 'Kill Dr Lucky')

(The Hobgoblin)

The Train Station and Bus Station are close together.
(Almost just across the road from each other) And there is parking
available near the train station. Be advised its difficult to drive
in Bath.

To borrow advice from Suzi
> You could advise drivers to park in the first carpark they come to (if you
> approach Bath from the North)... beside the Lazer Zone place. The pub isn't
> that far away on foot from there (about 10 minutes).

To get to the Hobgoblin from the Train Station, follow the direction
of traffic on the one way road outside the train station. You should
eventually see a branch of the 'Halifax' bank which is on the corner
between a pedestrian area and a road. (Past the Boots) Following the
road leads to the Hobgoblin.

At the moment I dont have any Crash Space to offer. Lonecat may be
able to offer a small amount.

There is a Back Packers hostel in Bath (01225) 446 787
http://www.bugeurope.com/hostels/uk005.html

However on past experience *do* call them in advance as they can get
fully booked.
