Well, enough yays were received for this to happen...

WHEN AND WHERE

Saturday the 29th June at the Salutation Inn, Maid Marian Way,
Nottingham, starting at about 5pm, Reconvening at 11am Sunday 30 June in
the Red Lion, Alfreton Road for breakfast (seriously - it's good)

IMPORTANT BITS
[1] This Meet may also form part of the rescheduled fencing meet.
Ladylark and Ingvar will advise
[2] Note change of venue from previous meets
[3] Some parts of this announce nicked wholesale from Supermouse
[4] The details below are for the Salutation. If you cannot make the
Saturday but would like to meet for breakfast and stuff on the Sunday,
please email me.
[5] The Salutation is next door to another pub (The Royal Children).
Don't get confused...

HOW TO GET THERE

By train:
Take the train to Nottingham. Walk out of the station, cross the Zebra
crossing and turn right (Carrington Street). Walk past the shops to the
junction with the main road (Canal Street). Cross the main road and
continue straight on. Cross the next main road (Collin Street). Turn
left and keep walking past the entrance to the shopping centre and the
back of BHS. The road will turn right and start going uphill. This is
Maid Marian Way. The Salutation is the SECOND pub you come to.

By road:
Assuming you will be coming via the M1, get off at Junction 24 (Coming
from the South) or Junction 26 (From the North). Follow the signs for
Nottingham. The City Centre has many car parks available.

For maps, Do a search for NG1 7BJ in your favourite map engine or
alternatively, go to http://www.brownejacobson.com (my former employers)
and pick the Nottingham map from the "Maps and Locations" page. This is
a good map with the car parks marked, and the Browne Jacobson offices
are next door to the Salutation!

By air:
Fly to East Midlands airport. Get in a taxi. Say, "Take me to the
Salutation, in Nottingham, please". You can obviously afford to do this
if you're flying in specially for a meet..

I'M LOST!
Nottingham City Centre is not that big (You can walk from one side to
the other in 15 minutes. If you have emailed me to say you are coming,
you will get a response with my phone number. Ring me...

Or use the traditional Nottingham method. Accost someone and repeat
these words carefully "Ey up, me duck... Where's t' Sal, youth..."

OTHER NOTES
The pub has 4 areas. The main downstairs bar, the upstairs bar and two
"snugs". Look in the snugs first :)

WHAT TO EXPECT

A pub with good food (very good food), good beer and various other
drinks. Talk, silliness and probably chocolate, if people bring it.
Strangeness. In other words, the usual.

WHAT TO BRING:

Yourself, a sense of humour, chocolate, cheese, cuddly toys or anything
else that you think may be a good idea. All but the first two are
optional.

CRASH SPACE

Limited crash space is available: email me for details.
