A song which has recently become popular among some dwarfs to help allay dissatisfaction with Ankh-Morporkean ways and the rarity of gold. Hopefully a few people will have heard the original...

Girls and Dwarfs (to the tune of Blur's Girls and Boys)

Mine's like a jungle
But we know our craft
Following the clan
Down the shaft
(Digging for gold)
Gold in the Ramtops
Is hard to find
In dusty caverns
Take your chan-ces, searching with

[chorus, x2]
Dwarfs who are boys
Who like boys to be girls
Who wear skirts like they're girls
And have beards like they're boys
Always should be someone who digs for gooold

Avoiding all work
'Cos there's no gold available
Like battery diggers
Count their nuggets on 1 2 3 4 5 fingers
Nothing to find here
Only some iron ore
Who's that dwarf I see?
Ha'ak Ha'ak Ha'ak Ha'aak![1]
But we haven't been introduced.

[chorus, x2]
Dwarfs who are boys
Who like boys to be girls
Who wear skirts like they're girls
And have beards like they're boys
Always should be someone who digs for gooold

[1] In some of the more easily offended dwarfish communities, these last three lines have been replaced by:

But what's that I see?
Gold Gold Gold Gold!
But we haven't been introduced.
