Why does it always Rain on Me?

Background, for merkins and other lifeforms[1]

With the recent bad weather (understatement of the year), train failures and other more than usually trying circumstances, as well as return of the filk perspiration particles after a long absence, this mole feels the need to put finger to keyboard and give vent to the following filkish eructation (meaning it's probably premature, certainly smelly and possibly unwelcome.)

TTTO Travis, Why does it always Rain on Me?

Sunny days
Where have you gone?
I hope the weatherman has got it wrong...
Why does it always rain on me?
Seems like the storm's the only story on TV -
Why does it always rain on me?
Even when the sun is shining,
I'm sure my car will soon get hit by lightning...
Floods are everywhere,
And all these sandbags are no help at all;
We minced the ozone layer
And now we're paying as El Nino comes to call...
Sunny days
Where have you gone?
I hope the weatherman has got it wrong...
Why does it always rain on me?
Seems like the storm's the only story on TV -
Why does it always rain on me?
The devastation here in Britain's stunning -
Even when the trains are running...
Oh, where did the blue skies go,
And why is it raining so?
It's so cold...
I can't sleep tonight -
House is creaking as the Force Eight starts to bite,
Still I can't close my eyes,
The wind is howling and I cower here in fright,
Sunny days
Where have you gone?
I get the strangest feeling you belong...
Why does it always rain on me?
The dull grey sky's the only thing I've ever seen -
Half of England's underwater,
Depressed - I think I'll go get slaughtered...
Oh, where did the blue skies go?
And why is it raining so?
It's so cold
Why does it always rain on me?
Why does it always rain on....

[1] Such as any Yuckian who has by some amazing coincidence not watched the weather forecasts, read the newspapers, been outside, or not lived in the SE of England during the past few weeks. [2]

[2] For others - this is NOT the usual Yuckian obsession with the weather but something entirely different. See http://news.bbc.co.uk for more information.
