This is a theme I simply gathered from bits laying around in the Net. It is, as you probably can guess, about the Discworld (Look below for explanation).

Just so you'll know, I didn't _create_ anything personally. I just took bits from different places and put them together. I might have broken some copyright laws, I don't know. But someone else put them up there before me, I just downloaded them. If you get really mad because I've got something up here that you've created, tell me, and I'll fix it.

OK, here are the installation instructions. Unpack this zip file (well, duh!) to your themes directory. The files should be automatically unzipped to folder called "Discworld", but if this doesn't happen, you'll have to create it.

The actual Theme file (Discworld.theme) should be in your Themes directory and ready for use.

But there's MORE!

There's startup & shutdown screens! They're a bit harder to get to work, but don't worry, I'll explain. First, make backup copies of the original LOGO.SYS (in the root directory), LOGOW.SYS (Windows directory) and LOGOS.SYS (Windows directory) files. Now, copy the logo(w/s).sys files in the "Discworld" directory to the places where you found the other files from. It's that simple.

I've also included two other extra thingies along with the theme. There's a screensaver and a font. To install them, you should unzip their own archives and follow the provided instructions.

Now, this program is e-mailware. This means that you don't have to pay anything to register this Theme, but what you should do is to send me an e-mail message telling where you got this theme, what do you think about it, all that kinda junk. You can even flame me, if you feel like it. But be warned, I'll probably laugh at yer puny lil' face and trash the message.

The minimum thing I'd like you to do is just send me an e-mail that's got "Discworld Theme" in the subject line. That's it. And for all your troubles, I'll send you an e-mail back when I get another Theme done or an update to this one. OK? Deal? Thanks.

Here's a short explanation on the Discworld, from the first page of Terry Pratchett's "Pyramids":

Nothing but stars, scattered around the blackness as though the Creator had smashed the windscreen of his car and hadn't bothered to stop to sweep up the pieces.

This is the gulf between universes, the chill deeps of space that contain nothing but the occasional random molecule, a few lost comets and...

...but a circle of blackness shifts slightly, the eye reconsiders perspective, and what was apparently the awesome distance of interstellar wossname becomes a world under darkness, its stars the lights of what will charitably be called civilization.

For, as the world tumbles lazily, it is revealed as the Discworld - flat, circular, and carried through space on the back of four elephants who stand on the back of Great A'Tuin, the only turtle ever to feature on the Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram, a turtle ten thousand miles long, dusted with the frost of dead comets, meteor-pocked, albedo eyed. No-one knows the reason for all this, but it is probably quantum.

The startup image, the second shutdown image and the My Computer and the Recycle Bin (Empty) icons are all from downloaded screenshots from the "Discworld" game by Psygnosis
