The amount of filks posted lately inspired me to write one myself...

It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside 			
I'm not one of those who can easily write 			
My posts are not funny but boy what the heck 			
I love to read yours and want to give something back 			
If I was a poet, but then again, no 			
Or a man who cracks jokes in a late night show 			
I know it's not much but it's the best it can be 			
AFP is my newsgroup and this filk's from me 			
And you can tell everybody this is my filk 			
Although it does not always scan and some of the rhymes are as 			
stretched as very tight stockings made of silk 			
But I hope you don't mind 			
I hope you don't mind that I put down in Usenet 			
How great the ng is called alt.fan.pratchett 			
I sat on a chair and clicked on my mouse 			
Well a few of the verses well they made me quite grouse 			
But I still had much fun while I wrote this file 			
It's for people like you who do make me smile 			
So excuse me forgetting but these things I do 			
You see I've forgotten if it's green or it's blue 			
Anyway I said all that was to be said 			
And now I'll get my coat - I remember: it's red.
