This last order did not specify a coast, and as Piers did in previous
games I have taken the policy of subjecting the order to my random one
bit number generator, or as you may call it, a 10 pence piece. The
result (heads) was that the turnwise coast was randomly chosen by the
commander on the ground/water.

In a shock move today, the Kouncil of Savage Heathens, meeting in the
D'Reg capital, voted 6-5 in favour of an immediate strike against
their former allies, the Circle Cities.
No reason was given for the move - government sources citing 'security
reasons', but we are lead to believe the swaying report came from one
of the nations top generals and strategists, in which he stated that
he believed the current strategies would result in the Circle Cities
overrunning the theocracy of Muntab and effectivly cutting our own
forces off, forcing a war, but one we would be less likely to win.
Whatever the reason, there seems to be one sure winner here - Muntab
herself, who seems to have been saved from certain destruction, at
least for the moment.

I realise that the 10p decision maker may not be ppopular, but I am
following through with a previously stated policy. It is YOUR
responsibility to check orders, and this highlightm the benefit of
early orders. I will not send orders back because of wrong
capitalisation - but because there's something fatally wrong. If you
get orders sent back then CHECK FOR ERRORS THOROUGHLY!
I appreciate that some people may object to this random number
generator thing as it's not standard Dip. I had a decision to make,
and I went with previously stated houserules. Moves will not be
reprocessed unless I've made an error or there's a unanimous vote by
all players to overturn the 10p thing.
If there is a badly written order but permits of only one
interpretation (Circle Cities) then it will be deemed valid.
Ambiguous orders (re: Norway/North Sea/Nor) will be void unless
corrected.
I was also asked
"If an army movement order is bounced, does it's order automatically
revert to hold?"
I think you'll find that it does not, it reverts to stand, and any
support to hold is invalid. However, to date we have been playing as
revert to hold, and so that's what we'll continue with.
Similarly, we have been overlooking the rule that an attacked unit can
break the support of it's attacker... I have learned that this is
against the dip rules... but for consistency we're stuck with it for
this game.
The newbie game will revert to standard rules. No random number
generator and so on. This is because the newbie game should be as
standard as standard gets.
