I found this on an old disk. I wrote it years ago, but a quick perusal of Google and L-Space suggests I never posted it. SO here it is

"Ankh Morpork"

TTTO "Penny Lane"

In Ankh-Morpork there is a man with a tray round his neck
And all kinds of merchandise stuffed in his coat
And though his pies may taste like goat
He's cutting his throat

On the corner is a mongrel with the power of speech
Talking of a home all warm, cosy and bright
And yet he's always out all night
In the pouring rain- very strange

Ankh-Morpork is in my ears and in my eyes
Here beneath the grey and murky skies
I sit and meanwhile back

In Ankh-Morpork there is a watchman with an hourglass
And in his mem'ry are all the laws of the past
His breastplate always shines like glass
It's a clean cuirass

Ankh-Morpork is in my ears and in my eyes
Overhead a stray swamp dragon flies
Explodes and meanwhile back

In the Shades there is a begger shouting "Hand and shrimp
"Buggerem, spyin' on me with their ray"
And though he doesn't know the month or day
He shouts anyway

In Ankh-Morpork the watchman proceeds by on his patrol
The trader offers him a sausage in a bun
And then the mongrel tries to run
From the pouring rain- very strange

Ankh-Morpork is in my ears and in my eyes
Here beneath the grey and murky skies
I sit and meanwhile back
Ankh-Morpork is in my ears and in my eyes...
