Wow! That's quite a coincidence, cos Brucianna and I have been working on a filk for the same song since (checks old e-mail box) ahem...May. Anyway, we've finally finished it, so here it is:

The Watch needs men, the Watch needs men,
The Watch needs, the Ankh-Morpork watch (4x)
Everyone seems to know the score,
They've seen it all before
They just know, they're so sure,
That the Watch's going
To drink all night, Gonna sink all night
But I know they can fight
Cos I remember
Three numbers on a badge,
Fred Colon still screaming
Thirty years of hurt,
never stopped Guards' dreaming.
So many jokes, so many sneers,
And all those nagging fears,
Wear you down, through the years,
But I can see Carrot with his sword,
Mr. Vimes as a lord,
The Pseudopolis Yard,
With Nobby dancing,
Three numbers on a badge,
Fred Colon still screaming
Thirty years of hurt,
never stopped Guards' dreaming.
I know that was then
But it could be again
The Watch needs men, the Watch needs men,
The Watch needs, the Ankh-Morpork watch (4x)
Three numbers on a badge,
Fred Colon still screaming
Thirty years of hurt,
never stopped Guards' dreaming.

Well, that was our filk, and I hope you like it:
it's taken its time :-)

TTFN (see you day after tommorrow! Yay!)
