Rule Cthulhu

To a very famous tune from the opera "Alfred", by T.A.Arne.

When Cthulhu first, at Hell's command,
Arose from out the seething main,
This was the slaughter, the slaughter that he planned
And chanting cultists sang this strain:

Rule Cthulhu! Arise from 'neath the waves!
All Earth's creatures are thy slaves.

All nations now, in stupor glad,
Must in their turn to Cthulhu fall;
While thou shalt flourish, shalt flourish great and mad,
The dread and envy of them all.

Chorus
Still more majestic shalt thou rise,
More dreadful vigil shalt thou keep,
As the dread howling, the howling from the skies
Serves but to wake thee from thy sleep.

Chorus
Thou, haughty tyrant, e'er shall toil
In thy attempts to bend us down;
Thy pseudopods shall alway, alway coil
To work our woe and thy renown.

(Chorus)
To thee belongs this earthly plane;
As R'lyeh seats thy rule malign,
All thine shall be, shall be the subject main,
And every shore it circles - thine;

(Chorus)
The earthlings still with freedom lost
Shall to thy roiling coast repair,
Curs'd isle with matchless, with matchless cyclones tossed
And shrieks of madness ever there.

(Chorus)
