Right Chaps...

What now...?

Mike - I have a suggestion that I convoy an army into And to help out in Spain... and that I move a fleet Spainwards (Tun - Alg with a view to moving into SOB or wherever needed around that area)...

Piers... still working on it... not sure how much we can do (if anything) other than hold him still and hope France & I can do something by going through Spain...

I have been awaiting this correspondence... I felt sure that you must surely notice that the defenses against you, especially in the East, have been formed into a stable and lasting barrier.

A 2 or 3 way draw would certainly be preferable - but that would leave me with the task of keeping the border secure while taking the necessary land draws from behind... I need to examine the possibilities of going for a draw with a smaller number of survivors without letting you straight in for a win <g>...

I will give this thought, and let you know my decision asap (certainly before any movement needs to be ordered).

Yours
Suzi

When providing S2009M orders, Hippie said: as The Empress Cleo is unwilling to consider stabbing her friends to reduce the number left in the game, Quite right too, it would be suicide for her! I would like to propose a draw given that I have now got as far as I can.

Suzi's reasons were more altruistic: It's been a good fight - and we stopped Hippie winning outright... therefore I do not feel able to stab any remaining allies . I feel that Suzi is right not to stab, but not for altruism, purely because to stab would be to worsen her own position.

At the time the results were processed, there was still one vote missing for the draw proposal. The game presses on....

(as it turned out, someone voted against the draw)

Autumn 2009 Results.
PLEASE do thoroughly check the results. In a game of this nature it is very easy to err. This applies both to movement phases AND to adjusts.... It applies ESPECIALLY to adjusts, as that involves a lot of tabulation (retreats are often trivial).

The following table summarises the changing situation, detailing the number of units currently owned, the number of SC's and the number of available adjustments, after the number of free SCs has been considered. A positive adjust number means that builds are due, a negative number means that units are to be removed. Note, builds do not have to be taken, they can be waived - please send a waive order to the GM if you wish to do this.

Also detailed are the number of SC's required to win (the win condition is 33 SC's).
